To create a Run component you have to log in as a Project Leader. 

  1. Enter into your course you want to add Run component.
  2. Click on the button "+ New Component". A popup window will appear named "Add component"
  3. On the top of this popup window there is a section named "Add a Run".



     
  4. Click on Open Response. The page below will open.
  5. Name of component: Give a name to your run component. For example "Test Open Response"

     
  6. To upload an image for this open response click on the Select or Upload button. You can select from the given images or you can Upload a new image.
  7. Set display date: There is three thing they can do.
    • Draft.Not visible - This component will display to the Project leader only. It can be edited at a later time.
    • Immediately -Participants will see this component immediately after it is published.
    • Select Date -Select the future date when Participants will see it in the Learning .




       
  8. Due Date:     
    • The default is No Date.
    • Select Set Due Date. This due date will display to the Participants and act as reminder. Of course the component will not disappear after the selected date.

       
  9. The filed "Answer visible to" has two options 
    1.  Project Leader and author only: Allows to view the answer only the project leader and the Participant
    2. Project leader and all participants Select how you want the answers viewed.
      • Answers viewed by all immediately allows all the participants of this project to view this answer immediately after it is submitted.  They do not have to have their own answer submitted.
      • After submitting own answer allows a participant to view other participants answers once they have done so themselves.
      • Answers viewed by all after selected date allows participants to view other answers after a certain date selected by the Project Leader. That means no one is allowed to view or access the answers before the selected date that the Project Leader has selected.

  10. Assignment Instruction: Write instructions here.This is optional.

     
  11. Click on the "+ Add a Question" to add your questions. This is must required. Add questions as you needed. 
  12. Click on the delete icon next to the question field to delete questions.

     
  13. Participant must do this before accessing the next lesson: This field need to be selected as "No". If you select "Yes" , this is a dead line.
  14. Add a group chat for this component allows you to add a group chat for this particular Open response. Participants can chat about this open response.
  15. Select Preview as Participant to view as participant. 
  16. Select Publish to publish your "Open Response Run".
